Thessaloniki

Day 1: upon arrival at the Macedonia airport meet and greet with your guide, enjoy the city tour that includes Roman Old town / White Tower. Go for Lunch at Ladadika area.  Afterwards, check in to your hotel. Dinner. Overnight. 

Thessaloniki- Ioannina

Day 2: Breakfast, check out and depart for Ioannina, which is located in the northern Greece with road access via the Egnatia Motorway from Thessaloniki. Upon arrival visit with your guide the Castle of Ioannina, the fortified old city. The current fortification was largely rebuilt by Ali Pasha in the late Ottoman period, but also incorporates pre-existing Byzantine structures. Time for lunch. Afterwards, check in at your hotel. Time at your leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Ioannina-Metsovo

Day 3: Breakfast, and depart for Metsovo, which is built amphitheatrically in one of the mountain slopes of Pindos (1160m height) and with its magnificent architecture and tradition. During your stay there visit The E. Averof Art Gallery, a museum of modern Greek art. The museum’s permanent exhibition presents 250 paintings, sculptures and engravings by the most important Greek artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Then continue for the Katogi Averof winery, in which you will enjoy the visitable route of the winery, by seeing a variety of audio-visual media, is an original guided tour of wine production and the history of the winery, and end with a tasting of Katogi Averof wines! Time for lunch at the traditional local restaurants. Depart for Ioannina. Time to rest at your hotel. Dinner and overnight. 

Ioannina- Kalpaki- Megalo Papigo- Micro Papigo

Day 4: Breakfast, and depart for Kalpaki for our visit to the War Museum, in which we will be informed via slides about its history. Afterwards we will reach through a spectacular route the villages Megalo Papigo and Micro Papigo. We will admire its architecture and hospitality! Continue for Konitsa which is perched on the hillside below the Trapezitsa mountain and next to the Aoos river. Time for lunch. Return to Ioannina, time to rest at your hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Ioannina-Kipoi- Monodendri -Vikos Gorge

Day 5: Breakfast, and ready to depart for the famous stone bridges of Kokoris, and the three arched   of Kalogirou with our destination of Kipoi, in where we will admire the marvelous stoned Mansions by our walking tour into the village. Time at our leisure for coffee and to visit the Folklore Museum of Agapios Tolis.  Then continue with our visit to Monodendri in which we will see the Vikos Gorge form the church of Agia Paraskevi.  Walk to the narrow alleys and admire the stone mansions of the Epirus architecture. Return to Ioannina and approach the mole to take the local boats and cross the Pamvotida lake to the island of Kyra Frosini, in which we will see the house of Ali Pasas. Time at your leisure for lunch. Get the boat to return, transfer to your hotel. Time to relax. Dinner and overnight. 

Ioannina- Thessaloniki

Day 6: Breakfast, check out and our day today begins with our visit to the Vrelli Wax Museum in which we will learn about the life of the years of Greek Independence. Follows our visit to the oracle shrine (christirion) at Dodona. Return to Thessaloniki to catch your flight back home.
