Options for Bus Tours
The tour departs daily from the old port of Fira, at 11:00 in the morning or at 14:15. After only 15 minutes by boat, we’ll be arriving at the volcano bay, where we’ll be docking for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which, if you want, you can follow the path to the top where active craters are. Next we’ll be moving to the island of Palea Kameni for the hot springs, the famous mud baths, which were formed as result of volcanic eruptions. In the small bay of Agios Nikolaos the water temperature ranges from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, as it mixes continuously with the normal sea currents. The boat will be staying here about 30 minutes to allow you a healthy bath. After the bath, you will return to the old port of Fira.
Volcano
Our first destination will be the famous volcano of Santorini! After 20 minutes sailing, we will reach Nea Kameni’s jetty. Should you are interested to be guided at the volcano, you should pay 5 euro/ per person as an entrance fee. Then, you will walk to the volcano’s ridge with your guide and he is going to explain you everything about the history and the geology of the volcano. You will stay at the volcanic island for 1.5hr and in the end you will embark again to our boat for the next stop.
Hot Springs
Our next stop will be the island of Palea Kameni where the famous hot springs are located on the west side. A place that is really popular for its thermal waters. We will stop there for 30min at a distance of 30 meters from the shallow waters of Agios Nicholaos’ beach. The waters are mixed with mud that they are full of sulfur, iron and other metals coming from the volcano and they are very good for the skin, rheumatism, arthritis and other physical pains.
Important Note : In order to reach Agios Nicholaos’ beach is essential to swim extremely well.
Sail across Santorini’s beautiful ‘caldera’ (flooded crater) and visit the islands of Nea Kameni and Thirasia on this 6-hour cruise. Board a sightseeing boat from the old port, and admire Santorini’s cliffs and as you cruise to Nea Kameni. Enjoy free time to walk around its volcanic crater, swim in the warm springs, and visit Thirasia Island. Explore and have lunch here at leisure before cruising back to Santorini.

Thirassia
Next stop is the island of Thirassia. Thirassia is a miniature of what Santorini used to be several years ago. Today is a virgin island, still untouched by tourism and modern life style. The island of Thirassia is only 9 sq. km in size and has approximately 300 permanent inhabitants. We will stay there for 2 hours, so as to explore this picturesque and traditional village as well as to taste the authentic Santorinian cuisine. Should you wish, you can also walk at the main village of Manolas, which is the capital of Thirassia. The view over Santorini is spectacular from there.

Swimming close to Thirassia Island
Sailing above the underwater craters from Palia Kameni to Thirasia Island, the boat will anchor close to the island in order to enjoy the view and swim for 30 minutes
Sailing Sunset
The end of the excursion comes on sunset time where the sun dives to the sea in the northernmost part of the island. Our boat will stop very close to Oia village where you will have the chance to watch the warm light of the setting sun under the violet sky before the night falls. This is the most unforgettable experience as the Caldera and the village of Oia will turn into gold color. Your trip in this sanctuary of romance is going to be in your memories and your hearts forever!
During sunset time we will provide you free wine and snacks (meatballs, stuffed wine leaves with rice, white cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, olives).
Begin your tour with a visit to Oia, which is a traditional settlement in the north of Santorini. The village is approximately 150 meters above sea level. Oia was severely damaged in the 1956 earthquake and much work has been involved to implement its restoration.
The beauty of Oia is unsurpassed. In fact, it is almost impossible to describe in words. Small white house’s tier the hillside, interspersed by splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red.
Oia is one of the most photographed places in Greece. It has inspired artists, poets and every visitor who visits Santorini. Oia is best known for breathtaking sunsets; Sunrise in Oia is also magical.
In Oia there are two types of dwellings, the cave houses dug into the volcanic rock on the Caldera cliffs, and the Captains houses. The cave houses used to be the homes of ship crews, whereas the captains houses belonged to the affluent class of ship owners. Many of the churches in Oia were dedicated to sailors.
Afterwards, you will visit the well-known Koutsoyiannopoulos wine museum. Being the only one of its kind in Greece, the Koutsoyiannopoulos Wine Museum occupies a natural cave. It is eight meters below ground, 300 meters long and has a labyrinth-like shape. The Koutsoyiannopoulos Wine Museum presents the history of wine and the life of vine-growers in Santorini since the 1600s. You will have the opportunity to see representations of the history of wine and to taste four of the best wines that winery produces today, in a specially designed wine-tasting area.
Continue to Pyrgos, which can find at the highest point of Santorini, with panoramic views of the whole island all the way to the village of Oia. This hillside village was declared a protected settlement in 1995. Free time for lunch.
Your last destination will be the Monastery of Profitis Ilias which is at the highest point on Santorini and spans to 1856 feet at the summit. From here you can see the surrounding islands and, on a clear day, the mountains of Crete, more than 100 km (66 mi) away.
First visit will be Profitis Elias mountain, the highest peak of the island. Short panoramic photo stop of approx. Then continue for Megalochori and enjoy the Walking Tour at one of the most beautiful villages of the island. Typical traditional Cycladic houses, neoclassic buildings and small cave houses blend together in harmony.
Continue with Akrotiri Excavations Guided visit (with professional licensed Guide) at one of the most important prehistoric settlements of Greece.
That was destroyed by a huge eruption during the 17th century BC and buried under the volcanic ash, which preserved the whole city in perfect conditions.
