Arrival in Athens. Meet and assist and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
After breakfast Full day Athens. Morning walking tour with your guide, including the Acropolis Museum, the Acropolis with the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, Niki’s Temple and the Propylaea. Then visit of the Areopagus (Mars Hill), of the Ancient Agora and Thission Temple of Hephaestus. Lunch at Monastiraki and short walk by Hadrian’s Library to the Cathedral of Athens. Passing by the Roman Agora and the Tower of the winds, in the old town, return to the hotel. In the afternoon get ready for a relaxing excursion to Cape Sounio via the entire Athenian Riviera. Sunset dinner by the Aegean Sea and drive back to Athens centre.
This morning, you’ll leave Athens for a few days. Crossing Attica and Beotia (Thebes), drive via Arachova on Mount Parnassus to Delphi. Visits of Apollo’s Oracle and the Delphi Museum. After lunch, driving through the second biggest olive-grove of Greece, you’ll cross the mountain to the East and then, the impressive plain of Thessaly, to Meteora area. Check in, and have dinner at a local taverna. Overnight in Kalabaka.
After breakfast morning visit of the Meteora monasteries with stops for some of the most impressive photos of your tour. Enter a monastery and a nunnery and have your lunch break under the Meteora. Then, drive via Grevena & Egnatia road to Vergina where you’ll visit the Royal Tombs. Follow your Guide to a unique tour of the treasures unearthed. See the tomb of the father of Alexander the Great, Philippe B’ and the precious offerings to the dead royalties. Early evening arrival to Thessaloniki. Check in and enjoy Aristotle’s Sq by the sea and have dinner at Ladadika. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
After breakfast morning drive to Philippi. Guided tour of the ancient theatre, the basilicas, St. Paul’s prison and the agora. Continue with the Baptistery where St Paul baptized the first Christian in Europe, Lydia, and then drive to Kavala port, where he first stepped, to have lunch and see the famous Bema. Early evening return to Thessaloniki. Have dinner by a little square and taste the local sweets. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
After breakfast departure for a morning panoramic city tour, including the Acropolis, the Byzantine walls, the White Tower and St. Dimitrios church. Then, drive to Veroia to visit St Paul’s Bema. After a lunch break, drive to Athens with a couple of stops, including a short visit of Thermopiles where the famous statue of Leonidas. Evening arrival to Athens.
Full day tour to Ancient Corinth with the Great Bema and see Kenchreae port, departure point of St Paul. Continue to visit the best preserved ancient Greek theatre of Epidaurus. Stop for lunch at the old charming capital, Nafplio and explore Mycenae with the Lions’ Gate and the Tomb of Atreus. Then drive back to Athens including a short stop at the Corinth Canal.
